4, 3, 2, 1.... Kinda

For my first post I wanted to share what is on my mind the most these days. Vacation! My Mom and I are going to our favorite little town in the world, Morro Bay, Ca. I am literally counting the days to we are there.

The picture above is of Morro Rock, the home of hunderds of species of birds. On most days you can find surfers riding the waves of the Pacific Ocean. The bottom part of the the picture shows the entrance to the small port of Morro Bay. Most days you can see fishing boats come and go. I have been to Morro Bay four times. We usually stay at the Blue Sail Inn. We have stayed in the main part of the Inn which has a lovely view of the rock, ocean and the Embarcadero 2 streets below. The Embarcadero is home to unique shops and restaurants. My favorite is the Hof Brau, which serves the best fish n chips in the world!

I mentioned the beach briefly earlier, I really enjoy walking along the shore, dipping my feet in the cold water and searching for sea shells. It's usually not that hard to find silver dollars shells, which are one my favorite. I also like looking for driftwood. I have always wanted to make a sea shell mobile. Hopefully this will be the year I actually make one.

This last picture is of the same beach as above, but with the smokestacks from the power plant in the back ground. I read that the power company may be taking the smokestacks down and replacing them with shorter ones, these are roughly 120 feet high. I, for one hope they don't remove them.
